Derrick Williams
(Phoenix) is an is an
award-winning filmmaker and producer celebrated for his
versatile and impactful storytelling across the film,
television, and live event space. Known for his masterful
creativity and vision, Derrick has produced acclaimed short
films such as Ugly, Catch A Girl, and Operation Freedom,
with work showcased on networks like Aspire TV, Showtime,
BET, and HBO. His projects have earned multiple awards,
underscoring his dedication to excellence.
In addition to his film work, Derrick co-produces premier
events, including the annual American Black Film Festival
(ABFF), the National Battle of The Bands (NBOTB), the
Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) to name
a few.
Derrick continues to bring a fresh, creative vision to each
new endeavor. His expertise extends to music video
production for notable artists, further enriching his
diverse portfolio. A Jersey City New Jersey native, he
graduated from Temple University with a degree in Film,
Media & Arts and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity, Inc.
He resides with his wife and their daughter. Guided by the
principle that “Faith doesn’t make it easy; faith makes it
possible”.
